Voices of A Distant Star

The agony of waiting, that feeling of longing for someone from the distance. Will my message ever reach you? Will I ever be able to get a response? Will we ever see each other again? How long can a heart hold and wait?

Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star). A short film aired back in 2002, was created by Makoto Shinkai alone. With simple illustrations, he captured my heart with that heavy feeling he left me with. There are a lot of questions in my head although the film already answered it. There are a lot of things bothering me after I watched although they were made clear through the film.

It is amazing how a 25-minute film could wake my brain up at almost midnight and fill my mind with jumbled thoughts.
